- Several years as part-time teacher of ceramics at TAFE colleges at Gilgandra and Warren, New South Wales
- 1983 Ceramic Study group tour to Japan
- 1972 Began potting largely self taught with additional knowledge gained from weekend workshops with Australian and overseas potters, including Ivan McMeekin, Harry Davis, Peter Rushforth, Janet Barriskill, Bill Samuels, Janet Mansfield, Chester Nealie, Byron Temple, Andrew Cope, Svend Bayer
