- 1976 established a pottery with Carol Rosser, at Eungella, Queensland
- From 1976 built and fired 3 woodfired salt kilns
- 1994 built anagama kiln and since then have been concerned with long woodfirings and natural ash glaze effects
- 2002 established website www.sidestokecom, which is solely concerned with woodfiring
- Author of 11 articles on ceramics, 9 of which are concerned with wood-firing
