Maker's statement: What I am seeking is a means of self expression utilising some local materials, with the kiln also playing a part in the process. The nature of porcelain, with its inherent qualities that make it difficult to work with, adds its own challenge to the mix. The cycles of making and working overseas have again brought me back to Whiteman Creek and a new kiln. The making starts with the threads from previous work, but evolution will be inevitable, as I am still seeking the ultimate results from the interaction of the players, materials, maker and the wood fire.
