Maker's statement: I build loosely defined enclosures while seeking expression through raw vitality and rhythm inherent in clay. Woodfiring transforms my intent within known or self-imposed boundaries to unknown territory, enhancing my exploration into an interplay between enclosed spaces and entrances into those spaces, dynamics of form through splitting joins, movement, tension held within curved slabs, and clay collapsing when fired beyond its limit.
