Maker's statement: The idea of persuading the flames to decorate the pots and discovering in each firing even one pot which exceeds expectations is enough to keep enthusiasm alive. We are still coming to grips with the effects of packing and shielding the work in various parts of the kiln, and the consequences of every nuance of the firing cycle. This is a lifetime occupation, and sometimes feels like a life threatening one too.
