The work is wheel thrown and fired for 50 hours on its side in the front of the firebox. It shows a heavy build up of fly ash from firing with black cyprus over a thin feldspar slip
Maker's statement: My pots show the effects of prolonged wood firing at high temperatures on raw clay surfaces. Although the pots have a basic classical form, their individuality is present in the added freedom of hand making combined with the magical spontaneity of flame.
