» Artist's resume

Maker's statement: You have to be slightly crazy to woodfire, to subject yourself and your work to such high temperatures, such physical challenges and such risks. You know there is an easier way. But there is something about firing with wood that gets under your skin, into your soul, and there is no other option. The interaction between earth, fire and man are what excite me about this journey. I strive for colour, in both clay and glazes and my aim is for pots that are not brown!
